SUMMARY:HEAL Connections Sharing Session: Designing and Evaluating Health Care Innovations for Downstream Implementability
DESCRIPTION:HEAL Connections Sharing Session: Designing and Evaluating Health Care Innovations for Downstream Implementability \nJoin HEAL Connections on Nov. 20 at 2 p.m. ET for the latest Sharing Session: Designing and Evaluating Health Care Innovations for Downstream Implementability. To ensure that people have access to the best treatment for pain and opioid use disorder\, researchers are responsible for developing interventions that are both effective and readily translated into routine practice.    \nThe Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science at Stanford and the Research Adoption Support Center with the HEAL Data2Action Program have created practical guides and measures to support research teams seeking to develop implementable health care innovations. Implementation scientists\, addiction and pain management intervention developers\, and health services researchers collaborated to create simple\, pragmatic tools to help researchers increase the chances that their work can have a true public health impact. Join the webinar to learn more.       \nThe session will last roughly 90 minutes\, including Q&A. Register at https://bit.ly/Care-Innovations  \nThe Helping to End Addiction Long-term® Initiative\, or NIH HEAL Initiative® is an NIH-wide effort to speed scientific solutions to stem the national opioid public health crisis.

SUMMARY:Addiction Health Services Research Conference\, October 2023
DESCRIPTION:The Addiction Health Services Research conference\, held since 2005\, annually brings together researchers\, policymakers\, and treatment providers to focus on how system redesign can effectively and sustainably be implemented. A slate of distinguished plenary speakers\, discussion of cutting-edge health services research findings\, the development of collaborative relationships\, and support of the careers of junior and minority investigators are main goals that move forward an agenda of broadening the positive impact of prevention and treatment services for substance misuse and use disorders.  \nAHSR brings together multidisciplinary experts in diverse fields including substance abuse treatment\, epidemiology\, prevention research\, HIV risk\, health services research\, health disparities\, primary care\, psychology\, social work\, and industrial and systems engineering. AHSR also aims to increase research capacity by increasing the level of collaboration between established investigators and more junior researchers.
